Enroll in Course
This course provides you with nutrition recommendations in support of training for a selection and assessment type of event. This course is specifically designed with the military population in mind, however, it is applicable to anyone training up for a longer duration physically intensive event (including police, fire, border patrol, etc.). Check out the brief free intro overview for more of what to expect.
By the end of this course, you will:
1. Understand the why behind calorie needs & fueling strategies in support of your performance and recovery.
2. Determine how many total calories, with a macronutrient breakdown (carbs, fats, proteins), you should be consuming relative to your training demand.
3. Have a clear understanding of which supplements are worth your money.
4. Develop an actionable plan of training-specific fueling strategies that will directly impact your performance in long-duration physically intensive events.
This course is a clear and concise blueprint towards successful nutrition planning for any SOF selection or train-up. The Course material is engaging and explains the “why” behind the nutritional needs of a SOF candidate. With all the information overload available on the internet today, it is refreshing to have a specific and science backed modality to nutritionally prepare for the rigors of SOF assessment and selection. Personnel training for any SOF assessment require specific training needs and rarely do we see any type of nutritional programming specifically tailored for such training. I have learned more over a weekend of taking this course than I have in the last 11 years as a SOF veteran and I sincerely wish I had access to this information before I went to selection. The information contained in Sammy’s course is worth its weight in gold and should be incorporated in any prospective SOF candidates training plan.

I was 18 years old when I went through selection and the only nutrition course I had was during indoctrination. It was a firehose of information. I wish I would have had Sam’s course while I was training as I hit probably every roadblock she mentions as far as malnutrition and hitting a wall. She offers an exact breakdown of how many calories, carbs, and how much protein you should be eating while training up for selection. In addition to giving you these tools she expertly explains the “why” behind why you should be fueling your body appropriately. This is hands down one of the best nutrition courses I have seen for selection. Following the course you are provided with a guidebook for how to create your individualized nutrition plan, this is complemented by a video explaining exactly how to use this book to optimize your performance needs. 100% would recommend this course to anyone preparing for any selection course.

There is so much quality practical material in this course. Very scientific but also down to earth. Sam takes such normally complex topics where there is so much info and simplifies it with actionable strategies. I'm very excited to use the information gained from this course with my patients and my own nutrition and training.

Nutrition for SOF performance provided me a ton of nutrition specific knowledge to set me up for success for my future career in the military. This course is not only great for SOF specific jobs, but also combat MOS specific jobs or even just regular nutrition knowledge not specific to the military.

As someone who has gone through multiple selection/assessment courses I can say that I had to learn some of these lessons the hard way. Luckily, this course delivers a clear, accurate and streamline solution for those joining SOF (or anyone) who is looking to maximize performance in less than ideal circumstances. I learned more in a day about proper refueling in this course than I have in my 13 years of Active Duty experience combined. Good shit Sam!
